Markus Viehbeck - A Middle Way of Synthesis and Segregation: An Introduction to the Madhyamaka Philosophy of 'Ju Mi pham
 December 13, 2009 at IBA The distinction between the conventional and absolute truth (saṃvṛti- and paramārthasatya) is a core element of Buddhist philosophy. Mi pham's unique model of a generally twofold approach to the two truths (satyadvaya) enabled him to explain different strands of Buddhist thought in harmony.This lecture will discuss one of Mi pham's peculiar interpretations of satyadvaya, instrumental in his effort to distinguish himself from the mainstream understanding in the Dge lugs pa tradition.
